As a young school leaver and doing job hunting, I casually walked in to a piano technician’s establishment that was the advent of my future. I was so taken up with this
British qualified technician’s craftsmanship that I decided to pursue this trade.
                                                I asked him if he could take me as an apprentice and being a genial person, he agreed to teach me. It all began in 1992. He thought me all aspects of the practical application of the science that involves piano technology.
                        Subsequently when I was good and seedy and a very capable craftsman myself I ventured out and began doing subcontracts for a vary large importer who got down second hand pianos from Japan. I was commissioned to do comprehensive repairs, replacements and reconditioning.
            This gave me the prestigious destination of being the sole alsound piano technician to this client.
It is a common knowledge shared by those in the field of technology that the piano is a highly complicated instrument having a immense quantity of strings and these in have to be strung and tuned to correct and perfect pitch. In all modestly I can safely say that I have reached a stage of perfectionism that efficiency will go par with excellency.

In the year 2003 I was offered a job in Bahrain as a joiner technician and having completed my 2 year contract I returned home. Since my return I have been conducting my trade as a craftsman with perfection. I opted to return to Sri Lanka as it is my desire to be of service here and offer my technical expertise to whoever may need it.

It is my contention that calling oneself a technician is just not enough. One should know every aspect of tuning, repairing, reconditioning and maintenance. It is with relentless tenacity that I have achieved what I did. Piano Forte is my forte and I will also strive to reach the pinnacle of perfection.
All pianos reconditioned by me are brought to its original standards and specifications.
